Marching: Hanse 545 with longer mast and deeper T-keel
Hanseyachts has subjected the former flagship 540 to a comprehensive modification that makes it almost a new development

More sail area, greater draught, less weight, a new deck and further options, plus various stylistic measures - the 16 metre long boat presents a plus over its predecessor in many respects.

The Hanse 545 has a very unique design with vertical hull windows in the saloon, a superstructure with roof overhang and flush hatches. The deck layout is functionally successful. Sheets and halyards are concealed far aft up to two winches, which the helmsman can easily reach. In combination with the self-tacking jib, the boat can be easily sailed by one person; a big plus for single-handed cruises with family and small children or guests who are unfamiliar with sailing.
In the YACHT test, the boat showed its strengths in terms of performance as well as steering feel.
There are now six possible combinations for the interior. An exciting new variant includes an aft cabin across the full width of the stern and an island bed.
